Egress Windows
Egress windows add safety by giving an emergency escape. This provides a way to open and climb out of the window in case of a fire or other emergency. Most local building codes require two exits from the basement to be considered a safe living area. Adding an egress window that meets your basement needs will make your home safer and add equity as well. Another bonus to adding an egress window is the added benefit of natural sunlight.
